Romsey Food Group (supported by ARC's Environmental Group)
There is an event on Saturday (6th March) 10 til 1 in the Court Room at the Romsey Town Hall. It will be a plastic-bag-free day, supported by Romsey Fair-trade Group and Transition Town Romsey. Do come along and help or just chat; it will be lovely to see lots of you there!
There is another event on Sunday: Itchen Valley Grow-Your-Own Day 7 March 2010:10am - 1pm Itchen Abbas & Avington Village Hall
The Grow-Your-Own Day has something for anyone interested in growing food and plants at home. The event incorporates the “Winchester Seed Swap” enabling gardeners to exchange spare veg and flower seeds for free. There will be a number of informative gardening talks where you can pick up tips from other keen growers. A variety of gardening stalls, with commercial growers and seed merchants, and children’s activities too. A fun morning for all the family is planned so why not come along to Itchen Abbas Village hall on Sunday the 7th March 2010 10am -1pm. Admission for adults is £1 and children free. Any profits will be shared across a number of local charities.
Please visit the Grow-Your-Own Day webpage, which will be updated with more detailed information as we get nearer the event. Feel free to circulate this to anyone who you feel may be interested. We will be circulating flyers in the surrounding area, but if you would like an A5 poster to display at your school, place of work or public venue, please do let us know
