For locals and visitors alike, Romsey Arts Festival offers a huge range of music and art and some real surprises - something to inspire everyone, regardless of age or background. Romsey Arts Festival is rare amongst festivals in that it features amateur and professional artists, almost all of whom live in Romsey or its surrounds. Furthermore, the events and exhibitions are organised independently by individuals and local groups, not 'bought in' by the festival. The result is a showcase for local talent with a unique Romsey flavour.

The Beggars Fair has been running since 1993 and is living up to its aims of showcasing local talent in a friendly environment. From big bands on the Cornmarket stage to intimate acoustic music in tranquil gardens, cheerful pub sessions and spellbinding storytelling, the day has a great atmosphere that keeps bringing people (and performers!) back in July every year. 

In the streets and in venues all around the town the best of local performers bring you folk, jazz, blues and world music, colourful dance displays and children’s entertainment.
