In November 2009, ARC's Environmental group organised the planting of a Community Orchard consisting of seven fruit trees (one for each of Romsey's churches) in the Memorial Park. The event was attended by over 100 people and was supported by Romsey's Transition Town Group. Also supporting the event was the town's MP Sandra Gidley, the mayor, and several councillors. Each tree was planted by one of the churches' ministers.
Following the planting, the URC's Hall was filled with visitors to the exhibition and lunch. There were fruit-tree experts to give advice and an apple-press producing juice.
